Andrew Limond, Investment Manager, British, manages the Panah Fund. He graduated from Oxford University in 2002 with a First Class Honours Degree in Oriental Studies. He spent the next few years learning Asian languages and undertaking anthropological research in the region. He worked for Ballingal Investment Advisors (Hong Kong) from 2007 to 2010, as Analyst and then Assistant Portfolio Manager on the BIA Pacific Fund. From 2010-2013 he was employed at Lloyd George Management, working as Macro Strategist, helping to run portfolios and also implementing new investment risk and stock-screening systems for the firm. He has lived in Asia for more than 15 years (Japan, Taiwan and Hong Kong), is fluent in written and spoken Chinese and Japanese, and is a CFA Charterholder.

David Crichton-Watt, Chairman and Investment Manager, Scottish, graduated from Glasgow University in 1969 with an honors degree in law. He worked for stock broking companies in New York and London and, after 1972, in Singapore and Hong Kong, before founding Asian Investment Management Services in Hong Kong in 1982. In 1996 he decided to move to Malaysia, and established AIMS Asset Management Sdn Bhd, which assumed the management of portfolios previously run by the Hong Kong company.
Eileen Sim, Compliance Officer, Malaysian, is a finance graduate from the University of Hertfordshire. Prior to joining AIMS Asset Management in July 2016, she worked in established asset management companies in Malaysia, and brings with her five years of experience in compliance roles. She is fully dedicated to the compliance role in AIMS and ensures adequacy of operational risk management in the Company.
Lim Kooi Ting, Head of Operations, Malaysian, graduated from University of Malaya, with Bachelor in Accounting Degree. She is a member of ACCA. She commenced her career with KPMG in 2008 as an auditor. In 2012, she joined Aims Asset Management.
Nik Hanim Nik Mahmood, Managing Director, Malaysian, graduated from University College London with a BSc in Economics and Statistics in 2002 and London School of Economics with a Masters in Accounting and Finance in 2003. She was in Equity Research at Credit Suisse Malaysia from 2003 to 2007. She joined AIMS Asset Management as a Research Analyst in 2007 and became a Fund Manager in 2011.
Romain Rigby, Co-Fund Manager, Canadian, joined AIMS in May 2015 as Assistant Fund Manager for the Panah Fund. Romain graduated with a master's degree in International Studies from Johns Hopkins University (SAIS) - Nanjing University in 2010 and a bachelor's degree in Chinese Language and Economics from Hobart & William Smith Colleges in 2006. From August 2010 to April 2015, he served as a generalist Investment Analyst, Risk Manager, and subsequently Co-Portfolio Manager, at LGM Investments (BMO Global Asset Management) in Hong Kong. Additionally, while at LGM, he coded and managed a fundamental company-ranking system, industry-specific discounted cash-flow modelling templates, and a strategy/research management system that was used across the firm's ten core strategies in multiple geographic locations. He has lived in Asia (Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Hong Kong) for more than 10 years. Romain has full professional proficiency in written and spoken Chinese (Mandarin) and French.
Varun Dutt, Senior Analyst, Indian, joined AIMS in August 2017 with the Panah Fund. Varun graduated with a BA in Economics from Macalester College in 2008 and an MBA from INSEAD in 2015. From 2008 to 2011, he worked in investment banking at Citigroup and Standard Chartered Bank. From 2011 to 2017, he worked in a variety of roles at early- and growth-stage companies in both the e-commerce and education technology space. Varun was also a private investor over the same period. He has lived and worked across Asia.
YM Tengku Maruan Tengku Ariff, Non-Executive Director, Malaysian, graduated with a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from University of Huddersfield, UK in 1979. Began his career with Citibank Berhad in 1980 before joining Southern Bank Berhad as Head of Personal Banking Division in 1985. In 1996 he moved to Rohas Sdn Bhd (“Rohas”) as General Manager and also served in the board of several Rohas-related companies until his retirement from Rohas in 2008. Currently, he is a board member of a public company and several private limited companies.
Misha Anthony Collins, Insight Capital Management Pty Ltd, Investment Adviser, Australian, for the Phoenix Gold Fund with effect from 1 July 2015, He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Metallurgical Engineering from RMIT University, Melbourne. In addition, he holds a Graduate Certificate in Banking and Finance from Monash University, Melbourne, a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the Financial Services Institute of Australia and has completed the CFA program and been awarded the CFA designation. He has experience in financial markets with 11 years of experience as an Investment Analyst at Bankers Trust/BT Funds Management and significant experience in oversight roles, with specific focus on the gold mining sector.
